Becoming a Patient

Our primary concern is not only for your dental health and smile, but also for your overall comfort and experience. During your first visit, you will receive a thorough examination and diagnosis, which allows our team to detect existing problems and plan an effective approach to regain and/or maintain the healthy smile our patients want. Please tell us about yourself, your needs and your ideal smile outcome. Our friendly and compassionate team will do everything possible to make your time in our office a productive, positive and pleasant experience. After a thorough examination, our team will explain each treatment option, including its benefits and drawbacks. Ask as many questions as needed so that together we can choose a treatment plan that best meets your needs.

Your first appointment will be a 90-minute examination. In order to develop a comprehensive treatment plan, the following pain free procedures are completed:

Your First Visit
  • Temporomandibular Joint Examination (TMJ/Jaw Joint)
  • Orafacial Muscle Examination (Joint Muscles)
  • Occlusal Analysis (The way teeth come together)
  • Oral Cancer Screening
  • Radiographic Examination (X-Rays)
  • Problem-Focused Educational Presentation
  • Diagnostic Impressions (As Needed)
  • Hard Tissue Charting and Examination (Teeth)
  • Soft Tissue Examination (Gums)
  • Aesthetic Evaluation
(Teeth Shape, Contour and Color Evaluation)
  • Intra-Oral Photographs

After these procedures are completed, our team will summarize your examination. Following your summary, a treatment plan will be presented or you will be re-appointed for a 30-minute treatment plan consultation.

Financial Exepctations

We make every effort to deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients. Although we are glad to assist our patients with their insurance, payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We are not contracted to accept assignment of benefits. Typically, prior to your dental visit, we will make efforts to verify available benefits provided by your insurance company for our services and give you an estimate of your out of pocket expenses. As a courtesy to you, at the time of treatment we file your insurance claim electronically in an effort to efficiently reimburse you with your insurance benefit. You, the patient, are ultimately responsible for all fees charged by our office for services provided to you regardless of your insurance coverage. For your convenience, payment options include check, cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and a financing option offered through Care Credit. We welcome any questions regarding our financial policies and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
